Hi! I saw your post on Ivan Belyaev and wondered if you ever heard of Dimitri Amilakhvari? He was the heir to Georgian nobility under the Russian Empire who fled and ended up joining the French Foreign Legion where he fought in Norway down to North Africa and helped formulate occupational resistance against the Nazis. Sadly, he died in 1942 at El Alamein but he’s well loved by the French!
