Cute and deadly, for their time. People forget quite how effective the 2-pdr gun was for the early war, able to make mincemeat of even heavy tanks of that period.

The Valentine stayed relevant even after the Matilda was deemed obsolete because it could mount a 6 pounder or even the 75mm gun. It truly was an impressive vehicle

Yeah… but I don’t like it as much, and that weird spinning disk on the sprocket has never been explained to me, and I fear the unknown.

The 75 mm was the 6 pounder bored out to accept US 75mm ammunition.
The 2 pounder was not bad early war, but no HE round makes it limited.
