Colt 1849 Pocket revolver

Designed and manufactured by Colt’s Patent Firearm Manufacturing Co. in Hartford, Connecticut c.1849-60′s – serial number 50613.
.31 cap and ball 5-shot cylinder, 6″ barrel, walnut grip, cased with ogival bullets, a powder flask, a box of percussion cap, a bullet casting tool and what might be a nipple wrench.

The Pocket model was a significantly sized-down Dragoon revolver with a few ergonomic improvements. While the Dragoon was a saddle holster revolver just big enough to not explode on firing, the Pocket model was a short-range self defense pistol made to be kept in your coat’s pocket.

They feel like a toy to hold.
