California is the most progressive state and a leader in all technological advancement. If California would be a country it would have the 8th largest economy in the world.
California should be the state to have the first primary. It’s multi-cultural and progressive. Iowa should not be allowed to set the stage for the rest of the country.
And by the way, California feeds the country as much as Iowa. Iowa grows mostly corn while CA grows many different vegetables and fruit, etc.
The electoral college system allows predominantly Caucasian states, mostly rural, to thwart the multicultural states in the rest of the country. Every time Democratic candidates beat Republican candidates in the popular vote, the electoral college reverses that vote. Then grifting Neanderthals like Trump become president. The racist underbelly of the conservatives gets exposed.
The Electoral College was set up so the that large states would not dominate the election process; but in so doing, this system actually established a devastating disparity in electoral representation. California has one electoral vote per 712,000 people, while Wyoming has one electoral vote per 195,000 people. Over 20 states with a small population size are overrepresented due to the establishment of the Electoral College. The Electoral College served its purpose, it no longer does, it is now backfiring because it has gone to the other extreme!
