This mock-up was originally constructed in Australia for the 1990 movie ‘The Great Air Race’ in which it was painted as the more familiar ‘G-ACSS’ “Grosvenor House”.
Acquired by the museum, it was allocated British Aircraft Preservation Council identity BAPC216. Now restored to represent an important de Havilland type, it has been painted as the unnamed G-ACSR and is on display in the newly completed Sir Geoffrey de Havilland hangar.
