Posted on May 28, 2021June 6, 2021 by Erik Chipchase BH-3 was the first fighter aircraft built by the Czechoslovakian Avia company. Based in their previous BH-1 sport monoplane, the prototype took its maiden flight in 1921. Ten examples, of the fourteen produced, were acquired by the Czechoslovakian Air Force starting in 1923. Called the B.3, these fighters proved troublesome in service and they were retired four years later.
