August 13, 1977 – The battle of Lewisham. Around 200 members of the fascist National Front holds a march in the Lewisham neighbourhood of London. They are met by more than 5000 antifascists who manage to break through police lines protecting the fascists and attack the march itself, cutting the demonstration short.

Got to love how the police always had to protect Mosley’s crowd.
