We’re celebrating a 15th
anniversary this year! On March 18, 2006, the Fireworks of Glass opened to our
visitors. The blown glass sculpture sits on a glass base, a pergola ceiling,
and rises 43 feet high through the center of the museum’s spiraling ramp
system. Created by Dale Chihuly, it’s comprised of 3,200 pieces of red, yellow,
and cobalt blue blown glass in the tower and 1,600 pieces in the pergola
ceiling. It’s always an eye-catcher and go-to photo opportunity!
