Do you know anyone who can identify what this compas is and what plane it’s from??

Requesting help with this one please!

It has a close appearance to the Pioneer Instrument Company (732 Lexington Avenue, Brooklyn, N.Y.) type 132B.  Made in the late 1930’s before
they were bought by Bendix.  This one, has the compensator, more on top, as opposed to the two magnet screw adjustments, drilled through the
top of the bezel.  The compensator is two sets of magnets.  One set for “north / south,” with the second set for “east / west” adjustment.  The idea
is to correct for any extraneous magnetism of the aircraft.  By the writing and part number 6A/1446 implies it was in British service.  Probably during
the early part of the war.  Later in the war, features such as the tricky “bubble glass” which could more easily be broken, were abandoned in favor
of more durable, thick plate glass.
