Admiral Kuznetsov, Russia’s only aircraft carrier, caught fire today
during repairs in Murmansk. While officials of the shipyard said that no
shipyard workers were injured, Russia’s TASS news service reports that
at least 12 people (likely Kuznetsov sailors) were injured, some
critically. In addition, three people, possibly including the third-rank
captain in charge of the ship’s repairs, are unaccounted for.

good god the absolute state of Soviet technology….holy fuck

this thing has fighter jets on it, but its most fearsome ability is to give people the Black Lung just by LOOKING at it

it is also worth noting that this is what cargo ships are doing once they get out of port and away from the prying eyes of civilization

America develops nuclear carriers capable of cruising across the world pretty much indefinitely without major damage to the environment outside of American “democracy” deployed from it

Russia pretty much wipes out a certain chunk of the Baltic with this thing billowing out more smoke than the entire Battle of Jutland every time they turn it on

I can’t tag kidzbop but like, this isn’t what ships are doing out of port. This is hilariously inefficient by any standard, environmentalism be damned, if you’re burning black like this you’re literally wasting money. Highly inefficient combustion and a lot of wasted BTU’s.

Tell us more I’m curious about what’s going on here

Admiral Kuznetsov adding it’s weight to Russian Glory, & climate  change!
