And this is why when you see a post empowering and uplifting black women, do not invade it with “don’t you mean all women.” No, because this is not the reality of “all women.”

1968, the day after the assassination of Martin Luther King, jr., Jane Elliott, a 3rd grade teacher, was so distraught, she began a career-long experiment called, “Brown Eyes, Blue Eyes.” Over 50 years later, the experiment is considered unethical. Elliott believed if discrimination is learned, it can be unlearned. Teachers all over the world, emulated her experiment.
