Today its exactly 50 years from the start of the “friendly soviet help” invasion n occupation (military presence stayed untill 1991) , which had over 425 dead and way more injured on the side of Czechoslavakia….and 12 presumed dead “real” soldiers on the soviet side.. (There was only one where we know the case of death and name of the soldier and it was some drunk bulgarian deserter who hitchhiked a gully emptier and the drivers killed him with hammer and stole his submachine gun)… Its still pretty awful and uneven numbers considering we were supposed to be at peace with the soviet union…
