I agree with and support the movement to bring down slaver statues, but Cervantes was a writer who spent five years as a war slave before being liberated. He then spent the rest of his life writing in his small house. I don’t understand this, he literally just chilled a didn’t bother anyone after escaping from slavery.
I know ‘El Quijote’ is a big book that can be tricky to read but the dude didn’t deserve this in my opinion, it makes no sense.
