Springfield M1915 Bolo knife bayonet

Designed during the Philippine-American war c.1901 by Hugh D. Wise for the Krag-Jorgensen rifle, then later for the M1903 Springfield rifles of the Philippine scouts – serial number 3894.
32cm steel blade, same locking system as a Springfield M1905 bayonet.

A rare example of a multi-purpose military weapon that worked, perfect for bushwacking and bayonet combat.

Moro soldiers, Mindanao, Philippines, circa 1900.
