Polish M26 Adrian helmet

0.7mm steel, ventilation holes under a riveted comb.

A variant of the M26 Adrian helmet whose parent design the M15 was the first standard-issue metal helmet issued to a modern military. Manufactured in France for Polish soldiers in exile – see above, it features an insignia in the likeness of Poland’s heraldic eagle – later models had the eagle painted on due to the structural weakness the riveted insignia presented, as pictured below.
