British people be like that

“people”

One half of my family are all travel agents and it’s well known that the British will complain about everything on a trip. I have been on the island of st. Lucia, a tropical island and heard British tourists complain its too hot. Too hot on a tropical island.

No. They’re not people.

Wasn’t this list in a chain email from the nineties?

This about sums up my countrymen on holiday, yeah, or at least enough of them to create the stereotype.

We have rather excellent ones about Germans on holiday too, but despite all the 6am lounger stealing and socks & sandals disasters, I imagine the Germans tend to cause less trouble for staff.

British tourists in the the hotel room next to ours in Spain,  insisted on making us a “Proper Dinner”.
It was the worst meal I ever eaten.
They were however, delightful people.
