Designed by Elisha H. Collier in Boston, manufactured c.1818-1827. .50 caliber, 5-shot self-priming cylinder, flintlock machanism, removable stock. A carbine version of one of the first -relatively- widely manufactured revolver. Collier patent revolvers are not self-indexing, like the single-action designs of Samuel Colt, but they are self-priming. This system works with powder being released from a hollow frizzen everytime it is flipped down onto the pan, leaving only the hammer to be released for the gun to fire.
Note the fancy frizzen.
