Norway was wrong in cataloging the US like that, but you’re very much wrong if you think the US Healthcare system is anything but broken.

Top 20 countries with the most medical research. The U.S. leads by a landslide

Top institutions by biotech publications. 18 of the top 25 are American. The U.S. has more publications than the next 4 countries combined.

Global map of clinical trials. The U.S. has more than Europe, South America, Africa, Australia, and Canada combined.

Global map of Nobel prize winners in Physiology or Medicine. Again, the U.S. leads by a substantial margin. 

All of this couldn’t possibly be because we haven’t nationalized our healthcare system right? Just like in every other sphere of technology, profit incentivizes medical advancement. When you remove profit incentives… technology stagnates. The worst thing you can do is get the government involved.
