this isn’t necessarily new, every republican has wanted to gut spending to anything even remotely beneficial to americans for decades now. it’s just interesting how trump has to put a racist spin on all of his defunding efforts now in order for it to get more public support from his supporters. i’m mostly just mad about how effective it’s going to be.
