i know i made a post about this the other night, but i just can’t get over how detailed some of these images from the civil war are. so here’s a pretty well known one, one of my favorite shots of some soldiers from the army of the james i believe
and on the library of congress website they have this image that is such high quality that you can zoom in on this guy here
and notice that the shirt that he’s wearing under his frock coat looks plaid
the image quality is just….so freakin good and cool, it’s awesome to catch a bunch of details
