Algérie was a French heavy cruiser that served during the early years of World War II. One of the last of the so-called “Treaty Cruisers,” she was considered one of the best designs commissioned by any of the naval powers.
She was among the ships scuttled in the scuttling of the French fleet in Toulon.

Iéna was a pre-dreadnought battleship built for the French Navy.
Completed in 1902, Iéna was assigned to the Mediterranean Squadron and
remained there for the duration of her career, frequently serving as a
flagship.
In 1907, while docked for repairs, 120 people died and Iéna was badly damaged by a magazine explosion that was probably caused by the decomposition of ammunition propellant.
