Turkish and Azeri propaganda continues to claim that they were attacked first (by a sub-state of a few hundred thousand people, against a combined force tens of times larger, and nations with a population totalling close to 100 million) and if, in fact, they weren’t attacked first, and it was a war of Azeri/ Turkish aggression (it was) then the Armenians deserved it anyway.
It’s the exact same logic as the Armenian Genocide. “It didn’t happen but, if it did, they deserved it.”
The amount of boasting on social media by Turks about how they’re the greatest army on Earth, and how they kill Armenians so well, is the 21st century equivalent of Germans boasting about killing Polish cavalry with tanks.
