HEY TEXANS!!!

Remember that during the early voting period, you can go to ANY polling location in the county you reside in to vote. If the one closest to you has long lines, broken machines, or any other form of voter supression going on, GO TO ANOTHER LOCATION! Go your your county’s election page for the list of polling locations, and go to votetexas.gov to report any voter suppression you witness.

saywhat-politics:

Pro-tip: look for the polling locations in or near wealthy neighborhoods, they commonly have shorter (or no) lines and machines always work. You are also less likely to encounter Proud Boys or other right wing “poll watchers” that like to harrass people. Please vote as early as possible to avoid any problems Election Day will bring.

NOTE: While this is a useful strategy in TEXAS, it may not be legal or allowed in other states. CHECK your local rules for voting BEFORE going to vote.

This is also true in Florida during early voting as long as you’re in your county!

Same in NC!

lol last time I voted I was wearing this shirt

This depends STATE BY STATE (or town by town), so check out your own state’s rules. As for everywhere, only poll workers are banned from this, and people holding up signs for candidates have to be a certain distance from the building.

It is to keep disagreements from flaring up.

At the polls I work at, we ask people to cover or remove political clothing.

We also have a large wind breaker for folks to wear while voting.
