Sokol (Russian: Сокол – Falcon) was the first torpedo boat destroyer built for the Imperial Russian Navy. The destroyer served as part of the Russian Baltic Fleet, taking part in the First World War and joined the Bolshevik Red Fleet following the October Revolution. She was active during the Russian Civil War and was scrapped in 1922.
Akatsuki-class destroyers (暁型駆逐艦, Akatsukigata kuchikukan) was a class of two torpedo boat destroyers (TBDs) of the Imperial Japanese Navy, built in Britain in 1901-02.
HMS Daring and HMS Decoy together made up the Daring class of torpedo boat destroyers which served with the Royal Navy during the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. On trial she made headlines as the ‘Fastest Boat Ever’. The introduction of steam turbines after 1897 quickly made her and her sisters obsolete and she was sold off in 1912.
