The joys of living in a state where price gouging are many: as hotels and motels have become filled, they’ve upped the prices, and Gov. Abbott is doing nothing about it, because, hey, capitalism. And they lost money during the pandemic, so why not?
Also, Texas has its own electrical grid, and it’s run by a private enterprise. Despite the fact that they’ve got over 3 MILLION people without power, haven’t been winterizing their equipment, and gas, electric, coal, and nuclear have all gone offline, they too are raising their prices. Granted, *they* didn’t lose money during the pandemic, but hey, capitalism.
It was not 2020.
It was the ruling class trying to kill you.
