Egg, London, with straight 34 in. double-edged blade, short blind fuller to both sides, typical gilded double boat shell guard, straight reverse taper quillons, gilded ’D’ shaped knuckle-bow and gilded ovoid pommel with twisted silver wire bound grip, complete with its leather scabbard (leather distressed, stitching undone) fitted with gilded brass mounts, the throat signed within a circular borderline ’D. EGG, HAY MARKET LONDON’ and bearing a collection medallion numbered ‘37’.
