“One night, I was up on one elbow watching people go by when I spotted Cecil, who had taken this picture that afternoon. He had a lady on his arm…He then introduced me to his companion, who looked down at me for a few seconds and said “This is who you were talking about? She looks nothing like me at all!” At which point Cecil wished me sweet dreams and wandered off into the dark with Garbo still on his arm.“
