A very underrated aircraft is the Italian “Savoia Marchetti S.M.79” Sparviero (Sparrowhawk). This aircrafts main roll was as a medium/torpedo bomber… It was built in the early 1930s as a passenger aircraft setting 26 different world records and had the top speed of almost 300 mph! It quickly drew the attention of the Italian government and became one of Italy’s finest aircraft of WW2.
