Sturmtruppen wearing body armor and with captured Chauchat light machine guns, the soldier on the right has a T-Gewehr anti-tank rifle. They are in fact Americans wearing captured German assault armor. Note the US pattern leggings, puttees and trousers. They also equipped with the US pattern Chauchat chambered for 30.06 and an American pattern Gas Mask bag.

You are most welcome. Thanks for replying. You have a nice site and I am enjoying your selection of subjects. My own computer is too antiquated to allow me to post effectively, so I lurk around and occasionally poke my head out.
